Felda Travel Sdn Bhd – corporate travel, MICE, Hajj, Umrah and hotel website for an IATA-accredited agency in the FGV group.

Felda Travel is a Kuala Lumpur travel company in the FGV group, with corporate travel, meetings and events, Umrah, Hajj and Hotel Seri Costa under one roof. I rebuilt its website to give these services a clear place without making every visitor read the same sales message. Corporate buyers lead the homepage, while pilgrims and hotel guests have their own routes into the site.

The brief

The previous site put too much weight on one audience and left the others harder to find. Felda Travel needed to explain its work to travel managers, travel bookers and procurement teams, while keeping pilgrimage information clear in Bahasa Malaysia. The hotel in Melaka also needed a page of its own. I organised the rebuild around those different questions: what the company manages, which service fits the visitor, and how to speak to the relevant team.

What I built

  • A corporate-first homepage – I placed the business travel offer first, with a rotating hero covering corporate travel, pilgrimage and hospitality. Client logos and service sections give visitors context before they reach the consultation form.
  • Travel roles explained – Separate content speaks to managers, bookers and business travellers. The page covers policy and reporting, booking arrangements and support, rather than treating everyone involved in a work trip as the same reader.
  • Meetings and events – The MICE section introduces meetings, conferences, corporate events, incentive trips and exhibitions. It gives an event organiser a way to identify the service they need before asking about their own programme.
  • Dedicated service pages – I built pages for Corporate Travel Management, Meeting & Event, Specialist Service, Umrah, Hajj and Hotel Seri Costa. Our Story, Our Location and news support the service information with company context.
  • Reusable Hajj package pages – A shared template draws hotel information, itineraries and terms from admin fields. The enquiry route saves a lead before opening WhatsApp, keeping the package page connected to the sales conversation.
  • Tanya Haji enquiry tools – A custom plugin collects public form submissions in WordPress and notifies sales by email. A secure JSON feed lets the company CRM retrieve those leads, instead of leaving the form as an isolated inbox.
  • Editable WordPress pages – I used native Breakdance elements for the homepage so the marketing team can edit the copy. The package template and lead tools sit in a custom plugin, separate from the page layout.
  • Search and launch preparation – Page titles, descriptions and organisation data support the service pages. I mapped old addresses to redirects, tested changes on staging and converted homepage images to WebP before the site went live.

How the Felda Travel website works

The Felda Travel homepage opens with the main service lines, then explains business travel through the people who arrange and take those trips. A corporate visitor can read about travel support, move into meetings and events, or open the relevant service page. The consultation form gives that visit a practical next step without requiring the visitor to understand the whole company first.

Pilgrims can take a different route through the Hajj and Umrah pages. Hajj packages use a consistent structure, so readers know where to find the hotel details, itinerary and terms. Behind the public pages, the Felda Travel enquiry tools keep submissions available to sales through WordPress, email and the CRM feed. The hotel has a separate service page rather than being buried in pilgrimage content.

Result

Felda Travel now has one website with distinct routes for corporate buyers, pilgrims and hotel visitors. People can identify the right service and send an enquiry with useful context. The marketing team can maintain page copy, while sales has a stored lead to follow up. The result is a clearer working site for a business with several audiences.
