Villa Bonda – Villa Rental Website in Melaka

Villa Bonda – a Malay traditional wooden villa in Masjid Tanah, Melaka. A booking-focused website with a 360° virtual tour, ten room pages, facility tiles that open a details panel, a live availability calendar and WhatsApp enquiry.

Villa Bonda is a Malay traditional wooden villa in Masjid Tanah, Melaka, with ten bedrooms, 22 facilities, almost two acres of land and room for up to 80 guests. It is rented as a whole villa for family gatherings, company retreats and group getaways, so the website has one job: help a group decide, check dates and message the owner.

The brief

The old site was built on Kadence and Elementor. It had all the content but the pages were slow to move through, and the things a group asks first (how many can stay, what is in each room, what does it cost, is my date free) were spread across the site. Fido Design rebuilt it as a custom WordPress theme that keeps the existing content, so nothing the owner had already written was lost.

What we built

• A hero that sells the place – full-screen photo slideshow with the three numbers guests look for straight away: 10 bedrooms, 22 facilities, 80 pax.
• 360° virtual tour – opens full screen from the page, so a guest can walk through the villa before they message anyone.
• Rooms named after flowers – a carousel of the ten rooms with previous and next controls with pax, bedding, air-conditioning and a photo gallery for each room, plus a downloadable bedding guide (PDF).
• Facilities that open in a details panel – pool and jacuzzi, karaoke, dining hall, bar kitchen, prayer room, laundry and more. Each tile opens a panel listing exactly what is provided, so guests do not leave the page.
• Live availability calendar – unavailable, pending and available dates for the villa, embedded on the page.
• Rates page – the rate cards and a downloadable PDF, with a note that rates are for the whole villa.
• FAQ and Google reviews – eight common questions (cancellation policy, signal, group size) and a reviews section showing a 4.9 rating from 234 reviews.
• WhatsApp everywhere – Book Now, room and rate buttons all open a WhatsApp enquiry to the villa.

How it is built

A custom theme written by hand (no page builder), with rooms, facilities and FAQs as their own content types, so the owner adds a new room or updates a facility from wp-admin without touching layout. The 360° tour and the calendar are configurable in one settings page. Rank Math handles the SEO and WP Super Cache handles caching. The mobile menu and the room carousel are plain JavaScript, so the pages stay light.
