MI Pangkor Marina – a yacht marina and boatyard on Marina Island Pangkor, Lumut, Perak, with 82 wet berths for vessels up to 72 ft, 110 hardstand spaces, a 45-ton KMI Sea-Lift and 24-hour security on the Strait of Malacca.

MI Pangkor Marina is a yacht marina and boatyard on Marina Island Pangkor in Lumut, Perak. I built its website around the questions a visiting boat owner needs answered: what size vessel it can take, which services are available and how to contact the team. The page combines the marina story with practical information for planning a stay.

The brief

A marina website has to explain the place before asking someone to enquire. A sailor planning a stopover needs different details from an owner arranging maintenance or looking for a longer stay. I organised the MI Pangkor Marina content around those needs. Berthing capacity, haul-out equipment and onshore facilities sit alongside the location, management information and direct contact routes. The page lets visitors inspect the options without presenting an enquiry as a confirmed booking.

What I built

  • A clear introduction – The opening identifies the marina and its position on the Strait of Malacca. Request for Berth and WhatsApp links give visitors a direct next step, while the introduction explains who manages the site.
  • Capacity stated plainly – I brought the main facility figures together: 82 wet berths for vessels up to 72 feet, 110 hardstand spaces for vessels up to 65 feet, a 45-ton KMI Sea-Lift and 24-hour security.
  • A facilities section – The page lists fuel, fresh water, shore power, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi and other visitor facilities. Nearby provisioning, banking and healthcare information helps explain the practical setting beyond the pontoon.
  • Boatyard service information – Owners can read about antifouling, wood repairs, paint and varnish, fibreglass and gelcoat work, and mechanical systems. The haul-out section explains that the Sea-Lift handles monohulls and catamarans, including mast-up lifts.
  • Waterfront lifestyle content – I included nearby accommodation, places to eat and activities around Pangkor. This gives visitors context for time spent ashore, whether they are stopping overnight or staying while work is carried out.
  • An interactive site plan – Numbered locations identify berthing areas, the dock office, fuel facilities and other parts of the marina. Category controls let visitors focus on a type of location instead of treating the plan as a static picture.
  • Arrival and contact details – The Visit Us section includes the operator, office address, general and sales numbers, email and directions. Location and incoming coordinates appear beside the site plan, keeping the geographic information with the marina layout.
  • Questions before arrival – An FAQ covers location, vessel sizes, haul-out services, facilities, berth enquiries, management and nearby stays. These questions provide another route to the details already explained across the page.

How the MI Pangkor Marina website works

A visitor arriving at the MI Pangkor Marina website can go directly to Facilities, Boatyard, Lifestyle or Visit Us. The page uses labelled pontoon sections to divide the content. Someone checking vessel suitability can read the berth and hardstand limits first; someone arranging maintenance can go straight to the service list and lifting equipment.

The MI Pangkor Marina site then supports a closer look at the place itself. Visitors can explore the numbered plan, check the office and fuel locations, and read the arrival questions. Request for Berth buttons return them to an enquiry route, while phone, email and WhatsApp provide alternatives. The written content makes clear that the marina team reviews berth enquiries and responds with suitable options.

Result

The MI Pangkor Marina website gives sailors and boat owners a practical overview before they contact the team. They can check published vessel limits, review boatyard services, explore the site plan and find the marina office details. It brings the information about a stay and the route to an enquiry onto the same page, without claiming to confirm berth availability online.

Need a website for a marina or visitor destination?

I can organise detailed facilities and service information into a page people can use before they arrive. The aim is to answer the practical questions clearly and make contacting the right team easy. Tell me what you need and I will scope it properly.

Design a website isn’t an easy task but building an impactful website for your business will be the most important goal.
