VITE Moto – technical motorcycle boots, jackets and riding pants, born in Bedfordshire and now run from Kuala Lumpur. A custom PHP catalogue site with its own admin, category pages written for search and enquiry-led buying.

VITE Moto is a technical motorcycle wear brand with roots in Bedfordshire and operations in Malaysia. I built a catalogue website for its boots, jackets and riding pants, with a custom admin for the team behind the range. The site brings product browsing, the brand story and store information together without turning the buying journey into a conventional cart checkout.

The brief

The brand needed to show both protection and style. A rider should be able to look through a collection, find a particular product and understand where to go next. The team also needed to maintain products and categories without asking a developer for every change. For VITE Moto, I treated the catalogue and its supporting copy as one job: the product images introduce the gear, while category introductions and questions explain what sits behind each collection.

What I built

  • A product-led homepage – New Arrivals puts the current range in view, with individual product cards and hot-item labels. Collection links give boots, jackets and pants their own entry points, rather than asking every visitor to browse the full range first.
  • Separate category pages – Each main collection has a clean address, including /products/boots, /products/jackets and /products/pants. I added category canonicals, breadcrumbs and sitemap entries, and redirected the older filter addresses to the corresponding category pages.
  • Useful text beneath the grid – Category introductions and FAQs sit alongside the products. The team can edit that text in the admin, so an explanation can change with the collection rather than remaining fixed in a page template.
  • Product details and saved choices – The catalogue pairs product information with images and a save-to-wishlist option on the cards. Riders can browse across different types of gear while keeping the items that interest them together.
  • Store and enquiry routes – The store locator and enquiry-led calls to action support the way this brand sells. I kept the route to a stockist or an enquiry separate from the product browsing itself, rather than adding a cart checkout.
  • A custom admin – Products, categories, stores, menus and site settings have their own management area. The underlying application uses PHP and MySQL, giving the catalogue a purpose-built editing system rather than relying on a general shop template.
  • Search-readable product information – Product structured data carries details such as the SKU, condition and seller. Organisation markup identifies the business, while FAQ markup supports the questions on the category pages. These describe the content rather than promise a search position.
  • Prepared product images – I used WebP product thumbnails for listing cards and a WebP main image on product pages. The main product image has fetch priority, keeping image delivery part of the catalogue work rather than leaving oversized originals in every card.

How the VITE Moto website works

A visitor can start with a featured product or choose a collection from the homepage. On the VITE Moto category pages, the product grid comes first and the supporting introduction and FAQ add context. This gives someone who knows what they want a direct route, while leaving useful reading for someone comparing the range.

The same journey can continue into product details, a saved choice or the store locator. About and Technology links offer another route for visitors who want to understand the brand before choosing gear. Behind the pages, the team manages the catalogue and store information from its own admin, keeping the public browsing structure connected to the information it maintains.

Result

VITE Moto now has a catalogue that presents the collections, explains the categories and gives riders a route to stores and enquiries. The team can manage the range and its supporting text itself. The result is a product website built around how the brand sells, with category pages that carry more than a grid of images.
